Common Questions
Do I need to be AHIMA or AAPC certified?
No. Lynceus is built for working medical coders (CPC, CCS, CCS-P, CDIP, CCDS, RHIA, RHIT, CRC, and similar), and beta spots go first to coders. Anyone can subscribe, and if you hold a credential, tell us which one on the application.
Is there really no cost?
Correct. 30 days of free Individual access. No credit card required to apply. After beta, approved beta testers can get the Practice plan for $12/month for 12 months, then $39/month. The 12 months start when you subscribe after our full launch, and the offer ends 30 days after launch. The public price of Individual is $12/month.
What does "feedback" mean exactly?
Two structured surveys — one at day 15, one at day 30. Each takes about 15 minutes. We want to know what you used, what was accurate, what was wrong, and what's missing.
Is this HIPAA compliant?
Yes. Lynceus is a reference tool — you look up codes, you don't enter patient data. There's nothing to HIPAA-ify. No patient information is ever entered into or stored by Lynceus.
What happens after the 50 spots are filled?
